For all internal written communication, use Google Chat. External platforms such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or Snapchat are strictly prohibited for company communication.

πŸ“Œ Important: Respond to chat messages directed at you, even if it requires extra effort to find information or complete a task. Leaving messages unanswered is unprofessional.

πŸ”Ž Accessing Google Chat​

  • Click the Chat icon in the left sidebar within Gmail.
  • If Google Chat isn’t enabled, follow these steps:
    1. Go to Gmail Settings.
    2. Navigate to Apps in Gmail > Chat and Meet.
    3. Select Customize and check the Google Chat box.

  • Click "New Chat" to begin a conversation.
  • Chat with individuals or groups.
  • Share files directly through the chat.
  • Initiate Google Meet video calls.

  • Huddle calls function like regular calls using Gmail addresses instead of phone numbers.

Note: To receive calls on your mobile device, ensure notifications are enabled for the Gmail app.​

  • Enable Pop-up Notifications for Gmail on your browser to stay informed about new messages.
